What is our Primal Survival Course?

Step away from the ordinary and immerse yourself in a 24-hour survival journey unlike any other. The Primal Survival Course at Bear Grylls Explorers Camp is our most advanced and rewarding outdoor experience—crafted by Bear Grylls and delivered by his elite team of certified instructors.

Set in the raw and rugged terrain of Jebel Jais, this immersive course is designed to challenge your limits, sharpen your instincts, and teach you essential life-saving survival skills. You’ll learn to navigate the wild, build shelter, make fire, find food, and respond to emergencies—while discovering the power of teamwork, adaptability, and resilience.

It’s adventurous, educational, and incredibly fun - built on a foundation of safety, supervision, and expert instruction every step of the way. 

What You’ll Learn

  • Through hands-on, instructor-led training, you will:
  • Understand the core survival priorities: Protection, Rescue, Water, Fire, and Food
  • Learn to build and ignite fires in real outdoor conditions
  • Construct functional emergency shelters using natural materials
  • Navigate terrain using maps, compasses, and natural indicators
  • Practice essential wilderness first aid techniques
  • Safely handle and use survival knives for camp tasks
  • Identify edible plants and apply basic foraging skills
  • Learn where to source water and how to make it safe to drink
  • Astro navigation – using the stars to navigate
  • Master basic rope work and knots

What to Bring

  • Change of clothing and comfy shoes for the evening
  • Bug spray and personal medication
  • Wash bag and personal hygiene items
  • Extra snacks for energy
  • A strong mindset and adventurous spirit
